Manager, Distribution – Portland, Oregon
Job Summary:
Seeking a customer-centric leader to manage the high voltage substation department, overseeing three union crafts and establishing strategic business objectives to achieve company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a zero accident workplace culture and ensure safety is a top priority
- Implement business objectives, strategies, and plans to support corporate goals
- Lead and develop a team of unionized craft personnel, including Apparatus, Meter/Relay, and Communications technicians
- Conduct performance appraisals, team member goal setting, and coaching to improve performance and motivation
- Manage schedules, budget, and maintenance plans for substations and capital work
- Participate Indiana planning, design, and execution of electrical distribution and transmission systems
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems from technical diagrams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana electric utility Oregon related industry
- Equivalent combination of education and experience Indiana transmission and distribution high voltage systems
- Completion of Assistant Manager training Oregon equivalent experience
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lead and motivate team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience Indiana transmission/distribution operations, maintenance, and construction of high voltage substation equipment
- Indiana-depth knowledge of labor agreements, accident prevention manuals, and company policies
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel American Samoa required

- Eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15% of salary
