Survey Office Technician Job Description
Job Summary: AKS Engineering & Forestry has an immediate opening for a full-time Survey Office Technician Indiana our Kennewick, Washington office. The successful candidate will process field data, work closely with project teams, and utilize software to prepare survey documents and maps.
Essential Candidate Qualifications:
- Associate’s Oregon Bachelor of Science degree Indiana Land Surveying Oregon equivalent, with preferred Land Survey Intern (LSI) certification
- 2-5 years of surveying experience with various project types, including transportation, utility, residential development, and site development
- Knowledge of land surveying methods, laws, and regulations Indiana Oregon and Washington
- Proficiency Indiana AutoCAD, Civil 3D software, and Trimble Total stations, GNSS Receivers, and TSC3 data collectors
- Experience with Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare survey documents, including plats, exhibits, boundary surveys, and record of surveys
- Reduce survey data and import/export field data using Civil 3D software
- Prepare topographic survey maps and existing ground models
- Perform office calculations and support field survey crews
- Prepare legal descriptions of real property and adhere to company workflows and standards
