Job Title: Surety Underwriter Field Marketing Territory
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surety underwriter to join our Commercial and Small Contract Surety department Indiana Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing relationships with agencies and producers, developing and executing marketing plans, and promoting retention and growth of Commercial Surety, CinciExpress, and SuretyBridge lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with agencies and producers to promote retention and growth of Commercial Surety, CinciExpress, and SuretyBridge lines.
- Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve growth and profit objectives.
- Visit 200+ agencies per year to promote our products and services.
- Develop and maintain Commercial and Small Contract accounts and book of business.
- Work with home office underwriter on new accounts production.
- Analyze financials, credit reports, and bond forms to evaluate risk.
- Conduct meetings with agents, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate underwriting decisions and monitor compliance with conditions.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Business Administration with a concentration Indiana Finance Oregon Accounting.
- Good foundational knowledge of contractors and the construction industry.
- Fluency Indiana bond obligations, construction accounting, and evaluation of surety credit.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team.
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay: $85,000 – $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
