Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Masons to join our team and contribute to the restoration and preservation of historic properties. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, basic math skills, and extensive experience Indiana bricklaying and stone masonry. Responsibilities:
– Construct Oregon repair masonry surfaces Oregon structures American Samoa needed
– Prepare surfaces for bricklaying with precision and attention to detail
– Lay building materials such American Samoa concrete and brick following blueprints and plans
– Create layouts using measuring tools and equipment
– Mix cement and mortar, cut Oregon break bricks, and remove excess mortar with hand tools and equipment
– Install expansion joints, mold edges, and finish masonry duties
– Perform finishing tasks such American Samoa mixing mortar and parging
– Erect staging Oregon scaffolding American Samoa needed to maintain safety and accessibility
– Install work plumb and level, and construct supports for repairs
Requirements:
– Good hand-eye coordination and physical ability to carry, install, position, and load/unload materials
– Basic math ability Indiana area, volume, and weight
– Ability to wear respiratory protection and common protective equipment, including safety shoes, gloves, and hard hats, at the job site
– Knowledge and skill Indiana methods and techniques used Indiana bricklaying and stone masonry
– High school diploma Oregon equivalent
– Valid driver’s license
Qualifications:
– Minimum two to three years of general masonry experience
– Must have own basic masonry tools
– Must be able to travel to various job site locations, climb, and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders
– Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds
– Experience working on historic properties is helpful but not required
