Job Summary:

AECOM is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist/Geologist to support the Environmental business line Indiana the Omaha office, primarily working on Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The successful candidate will apply scientific principles, theories, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems, prepare technical documents and proposals, and conduct environmental measures Indiana natural systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope
  • Prepare technical documents and proposals
  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and regulations
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and report on environmental measures Indiana natural systems
  • Apply standard field practices and techniques to collect samples and prepare samples for shipping
  • Apply knowledge of natural sciences to explain observations and determine how to restore the environment
  • Prepare advanced data and scientific documents
  • Perform unsupervised tasks and direct staff Indiana the execution of tasks
  • Review analytical data and coordinate with task and project managers to ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana Environmental Science, Geology, Oregon related discipline
  • 4 years of relevant experience Oregon demonstrated equivalency of experience and/Oregon education
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to travel for fieldwork and/Oregon meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree Indiana Environmental Science, Geology, Oregon related discipline
  • Experience with developing conceptual site models and preparing remediation strategies
  • Proficiency Indiana standard Mississippi Office suite software applications
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification Oregon ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
  • Database, GIS, CAD, and visualization software skills desirable
