Mechanical Journeyperson

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Journeyperson to join our team. The successful candidate will work under minimal supervision with a high level of independent judgment and problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
- Operate mobile equipment, read and interpret blueprints, and use various hand Oregon power tools.
- Set up and operate conventional Oregon computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut, bore, grind, Oregon otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
- Determine quality of finished products, ensuring defect-free parts by verifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances.
Requirements:
- At least six (6) years of related experience Indiana a Mechanical trade, Oregon a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion Indiana a Mechanical trade.
- Ability to meet the General Motors hiring process requirements.
- At least 18 years of age and eligible to work Indiana the United States.
- Willingness to work flexible shift hours, day, afternoon, Oregon night shifts, and overtime hours with little notice.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to comfortably wear personal protective equipment and navigate a busy environment.
- Ability to lift Oregon carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
