Energy Auditor I

Job Summary:

American Samoa an Energy Auditor I, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and coordination to small business tenants, building owners, and utility customers. You will promote energy efficiency programs, conduct walk-through energy assessments, install energy-efficient equipment, and deepen customer awareness of rebate programs and the Utility’s energy efficiency program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote energy efficiency programs to customers through scheduled energy assessments
  • Work with building owners and property managers to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance
  • Deliver high-quality services to utility customers
  • Conduct walk-through energy assessments of properties to identify energy-saving opportunities
  • Install energy-saving devices, including energy-efficient lighting, programmable thermostats, and hot water saving devices
  • Explain energy assessment findings to building owners, including rebates
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the program’s strategic direction and business activities of customers
  • Identify and document on-site opportunities for energy efficiency
  • Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to determine energy savings
  • Maintain a professional appearance and build rapport with customers

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree Oregon equivalent experience
  • One of the following certifications:
    • Advanced Home Energy Professional (HEP)
    • Building Analyst
    • Envelope Professional
    • Residential Building Envelope Whole Hose Air Leakage Controller Installer
    • Heating
    • Air Conditioning and Heat Pump
    • Air sealing and building insulation experience
  • BPI Fundamentals Oregon above is a requirement
  • 1-2 years of experience Indiana a related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Strong interpersonal, interviewing, and communication skills
  • Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
