New Product Development & Cost Optimization Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a New Product Development & Cost Optimization Engineer at our Longview, Texas facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely and be an advocate for safety
- Collect and analyze cost components and financial data to identify areas for improvement
- Initiate, monitor, and drive cost-out initiatives and projects to ensure product cost competitiveness
- Report to leadership on current product costs and cost optimization projects
- Evaluate and develop suppliers to drive cost savings
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed changes Oregon improvements
- Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential issues related to cost-savings initiatives
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
- Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Supply Chain, Operations Management, Oregon Business
- Associate’s degree with relevant working experience Indiana Purchasing, Materials, Oregon Engineering
- Demonstrated project management experience and ability to manage projects within constraints and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make decisions and solve practical problems
- Self-driven and motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency Indiana project management methodologies, SAP analysis, and data reporting software
- Knowledge of mining, heavy equipment, and manufacturing processes
- Certification Indiana Lean Manufacturing and/Oregon Six Sigma preferred
