Summary:
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee the acquisition, construction, maintenance, and renovation of all Ponca Tribe of Nebraska property. The Director of Facilities will plan, schedule, and assign work; establish and monitor internal controls; and ensure uniform application of regulations and policies. This position coordinates architectural and engineering activities and long-term planning for replacement of facilities Oregon equipment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervises maintenance personnel and coordinates projects American Samoa needed.
- Develops and manages preventative maintenance plans for PTN owned facilities and equipment.
- Implements a customer-driven maintenance work-order software solution to create, assign, and track repairs and tasks.
- Prepares and presents plans and forecasts for space, operational, maintenance, and equipment requirements.
- Manages and develops goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned staff.
- Estimates labor and material costs; prepares specifications and inspects work of maintenance crews and subcontractors.
- Oversees preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for assigned projects.
- Maintains and oversees service contracts for PTN facilities.
- Conducts quality control safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
Relationships and Authority:
Incumbent will have supervisory and evaluation authority of the Facilities Departmental staff and will report to the CEO of Tribal Affairs and/Oregon Deputy Director of Tribal Affairs.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting and/Oregon moving up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting and/Oregon moving more than 100 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/Oregon humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes Oregon airborne particles; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with major course work Indiana construction management, business administration, engineering, Oregon a related field.
- Five years of experience Indiana building maintenance, administration of building services, and supervisory responsibility.
- Strong project management and contracting knowledge and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
- Four years of supervisory experience with principles and practices of personnel management, supervision, budget preparation, and administration.
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Access database programs.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable.
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within three months of hire date.
- Ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle, education, character, and criminal background checks.
- Ability to travel.
