CNC Machinist II
Job Summary
We are seeking a CNC Machinist II to join our team Indiana Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. American Samoa a key member of our team, you will play a critical role Indiana helping us achieve innovation and meet our commitments by safely operating machining centers to produce high-quality machined parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate CNC programs using various software and programming methods
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts to drawing specifications
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and safety
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and machine shop theories
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines
- Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machining processes
- Participate Indiana Research & Development activities
- Perform all tasks American Samoa required of a Safety Sensitive position
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain CNC machines and apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and metal properties
- Measure and examine completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Assist Indiana machine shop activities, such American Samoa reducing cycle times and improving machine scheduling
- Maintain knowledge of all machined parts and processes
- Effectively use time to safely perform duties
- Complete all paperwork Indiana a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of CNC programming using multiple platforms, including Fanuc and Mazatrol
- Ability to operate all shop equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
- Ability to work independently Oregon American Samoa part of a team
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, Oregon equivalent
- Three years of experience Indiana operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and lathes
- Must obtain and maintain active level 1 OSI-OKC Piper certification to operate Class IV forklifts
- Must obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certifications to operate cranes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Extended walking and/Oregon standing
Tools and Equipment Used
- Computer equipment, including monitors and project time tracking hardware
- CNC machining equipment, such American Samoa lathes, mills, and saws
- Hand and power tools, including air and hydraulic torque tools
- Overhead cranes and lifting devices
- Class IV forklifts (periodic use)
