Landscape Maintenance and Operations Planner
Job Summary:
Ensure the campus’s physical environment supports the university’s mission 24/7, overseeing diverse programs and services for landscape maintenance, turf management, irrigation, stormwater management, tree care, landscape construction, waste reduction, and recycling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess strong knowledge Indiana plan review, Bluebeam, estimating, project management, and hardscape construction
- Organize monthly Bluebeam review sessions, research materials and costs, schedule projects, manage change orders, and track expenses
- Update and manage electronic databases, monitor and bill work orders, renew and create landscape service agreements, and prepare work orders
- Collaborate with stakeholders, provide training, and manage projects, including attending walkthroughs and following up on action items
- Interpret policies and regulations, maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal landscape maintenance, waste reduction, construction, and stormwater regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment
- Valid Driver’s License Required, North Carolina Driver’s License required within 60 days of hire
- Proficient skills Indiana Bluebeam Revu, GIS, AERES, and AIM work management system
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and understand verbal and written instructions
- Ability to maintain program/project databases, schedules, and reports
- Ability to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with program standards
Additional Information:
- Position serves Indiana a critical role and employee may be required to work during adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to maintain a paperless system for equipment surplus requests and develop a tracking system for equipment costs and depreciation
- Must be able to communicate with stakeholders and provide training on department processes
