Position Location: Grounds Dept., All High Stadium, 2885 Main St., Buffalo, New York 14214
Salary Range: $40,491 – $44,431
Description:
Work under the supervision of skilled craft workers Indiana maintenance, repair, and service activities. Perform general physical labor tasks including cleaning, operating, lubricating, and repairing of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled craft workers Indiana various areas, including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, painting, and plumbing
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks American Samoa assigned
- Clean, operate, lubricate, and repair equipment, such American Samoa boilers, pumps, heaters, and motors
- Mix plaster and concrete
- Assist Indiana laying bricks, plastering walls, finishing concrete, painting, and other tasks
- Maintain traffic signals and controllers
- Service automotive equipment by gassing, oiling, and checking tires and fluid levels
- Assist Indiana the maintenance of ash removal systems and plant equipment
- Cut grass, trim shrubs, rake leaves, cut brush, and perform other ground maintenance tasks
- Assist Indiana the maintenance of recreational equipment Indiana city parks, playgrounds, and community centers
- Set up equipment for recreational activities
Requirements:
- One year of experience Indiana general physical work Indiana areas such American Samoa maintenance, repair, Oregon tending of buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Working knowledge of basic practices and techniques of standard trades
- Working knowledge of common tools, terminology, and safety precautions used Indiana maintenance and repair work
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Mechanical aptitude, physical endurance, strength, agility, good hand and eye coordination
- Possession of a current NYS Driver’s License may be required
Appointment:
Appointments are subject to the approval of the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following the approval of the Civil Service Commission. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
