Job Description for Mechanical Journeyperson
Key Qualified Candidates:
- Mechanical trade journeypersons with experience Indiana millwright, pipefitting, toolmaking, and machine repair
- Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate Indiana Mechanical trade Oregon six years of documented experience Indiana a Mechanical trade
- Must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work Indiana the United States, and willing to work flexible shift hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery
- Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems
- Operate mobile equipment, such American Samoa forklifts and cranes, and determine loading requirements for rigging equipment and material
- Set up and operate machine tools, such American Samoa lathes and grinders, to cut, bore, grind, Oregon shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
- Determine quality of finished products and verify dimensions, alignment, and clearances for conformance to specifications
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals
- Ability to work and stand for extended periods
- Comfortably wear personal protective equipment
- Navigate a busy environment and perform bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching actions
- Lift Oregon carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. depending on the department
- Occasional sitting during certain tasks
