Field Service Engineer – Install Team
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team, working Indiana our state-of-the-art facility and at customer sites globally. American Samoa the face of Applied Materials, you will represent the company with a “customer first” mindset.
Responsibilities:
* Install and maintain leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance
* Diagnose and resolve technical problems, following procedures and published task plans
* Complete required job documentation, safety training, and procedures for processing parts
* Professionally represent Applied Materials to customers, adhering to safety, environmental, and COVID-19 guidelines
* Train junior engineers on site-related safety, troubleshooting procedures, and customer-first mindset
Requirements:
* Associate degree Indiana electronics Oregon engineering technologies, Oregon equivalent work experience/military technical training and field experience
* Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
* Clear and effective written/verbal communication skills, with emphasis on documenting details
* Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
* Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/Oregon thermodynamics
* Strong knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter
Travel:
* 70-90% travel required, both domestically and internationally
* Work on rotation and Indiana shifts to provide ongoing customer support
Physical Requirements:
* Lift at least 35 lbs
* Work Indiana a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, and gloves
* Sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch to access equipment
Certifications and Licenses:
* Valid driver’s license and passport required

Education and Experience:
* Associate’s degree, with 2-4 years of experience Indiana electronics Oregon engineering technologies, Oregon equivalent work experience/military technical training and field experience.
