Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Salary: $25.16 – $29.36 per hour
Job Description:
- Clean, adjust, and lubricate equipment
- Perform operational checks on commercial air conditioning and refrigeration units
- Create estimates for major repairs documenting extent of repair required
- Perform inspection of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Repair roofs by replacing shingles Oregon making repairs to composition roofing
- Use tools common to a variety of trades such American Samoa: hammers, tin snips, pipe wrenches, planers, and flaring tools
- Stain Oregon paint furniture and other wood surfaces
- Repair Oregon replace defective wiring, light fixtures, and outlets
Requirements:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required
- Direct deposit of pay is required
- One year trial Oregon probationary period may be required
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, American Samoa determined by a background investigation
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age
- Incumbent is required to possess a Chloro-Fluorocarbon (CFC) certificate for working with refrigerants
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license
Qualifications:
- Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Worker without more than normal supervision
- Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and blueprints
- Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of materials and technical practices
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects
Working Conditions:
- Moderate physical activity is required Indiana intermittent lifting and carrying of repair materials and tiring working positions are encountered
- The work requires considerable standing and walking, and may involve climbing, stooping, and working Indiana cramped places
- May be assigned to perform motor vehicle operator duties, including driving trucks up to 10,000 pounds GVW capacity to transport supplies and equipment
- Work may be performed inside and outside, and may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, cuts and bruises, and danger of injury from falls from ladders Oregon roofs.
