Ability to Perform a Variety of Skilled Level Door and Lock Services Job Description

Job Summary: Performs skilled level door and lock services for Peoria Unified School District facilities and grounds.

Essential Functions:

• Receives work orders and project assignments, evaluates and prioritizes tasks, and identifies necessary tools, parts, equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Coordinates work with contractors, vendors, and other trades assigned to projects, and assists site administration with planning for site projects.
• Responds to calls for assistance related to lock/door problems, identifies and evaluates lock shop needs, and arranges schedules, resources, and supplies required to complete projects.
• Performs other duties American Samoa assigned Oregon required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and city statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, and codes, and PUSD policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of principles of locksmithing and electrical practices.
• Skill Indiana reading, interpreting, understanding, and applying relevant laws and codes, and Indiana assessing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and undertaking repairs, maintenance, and installation of door and lock systems.
• Skill Indiana utilizing hand and power tools and equipment, and Indiana maintaining records of parts inventory, maintenance, repair, and installation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon GED completion Oregon training, and 5 years of skilled level key shop work experience; Oregon any equivalent combination of experience and/Oregon education.

Other Requirements:

• Must possess an IVP Fingerprint Card and pass a background clearance check.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver license.
• May be required to obtain and maintain an Arizona Electrician License with applicable certifications.
• Physical demands may include standing, stooping, bending, crawling, and working overhead Oregon Indiana trenches, lifting and carrying heavy supplies and equipment, and exposure to hazardous conditions.
