Construction Driver/Truck Operator
Company Background: Ready Mixed Concrete (NEBCO Company) operates Ready Mixed plants Indiana Lincoln, Nebraska and 17 plants throughout southeast and central Nebraska. NEBCO is a family-owned business with over 1,100 employees and 50 locations across Nebraska.
Summary: The Construction Driver/Truck Operator drives a transit mixer truck to deliver concrete mix and other related construction products to job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
Essential Duties:
- Perform pre and post-trip safety checks on equipment and truck
- Drive truck to designated job sites and unload concrete according to specifications
- Assemble and attach concrete chute to the back of the truck
- Control levers on truck to discharge concrete into wheelbarrows Oregon other containers
- Wash out truck at the job site and replace chute after delivery
- Spray protective compound on truck to prevent concrete from adhering
- Monitor tire pressures and ensure all required lights and mirrors are operational
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned, such American Samoa assisting with repairs Oregon cleaning
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- Valid Class B CDL
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and maps
- Meet DOT physical requirements and carry a current physical exam card
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and late Oregon irregular hours
Working Conditions:
- Frequent lifting and movement of up to 50 pounds
- Occasional exposure to wet and/Oregon humid conditions, high and precarious places
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and minimal amounts of dust and particles
