Aircraft Mechanic III (F/A-18 E-F):
Leads a team Indiana the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Maintains and repairs aircraft structures, structural components, and engines. Applies technical expertise Indiana troubleshooting/repair procedures and component replacement. Provides guidance and technical support to subordinate mechanics and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and inspect the duties of Mechanic Is, IIs, and IIIs
* Perform complex to extreme difficulty airframe and power plant system maintenance
* Troubleshoot malfunctions Indiana various aircraft systems
* Conduct inspections, disassembles, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs
* Determine required repairs, modifications, and part replacements
* Verify work performed by another mechanic
* Maintain aircraft and aeronautical equipment to support readiness posture
Essential Qualifications:
* 5+ years F/A-18 experience
* Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications
* Working understanding of aircraft and systems
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to possess and maintain security clearance
Additional Requirements:
* Ability to deploy to support off-station exercises
* Potential to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime
