Job Title: Program Manager 2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Program Manager 2 to manage medium size and moderately complex statewide program(s) Indiana the Department of Health and Hospitals and other social service entities. The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree and four years of professional level experience Indiana administrative services, economics, public health, public relations, social services, health services, Oregon surveying and/Oregon assessing health Oregon social service programs Oregon facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage medium size and moderately complex statewide program(s)
- Oversee statewide program compliance with state/federal laws and regulations
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate all statewide monitoring and surveillance procedures
- Evaluate preparedness and response efforts of staff
- Direct the agency’s operational planning, strategic planning, performance reporting, and grants coordination
- Direct the policy development and issuance functions of the agency
- Oversee the legislation coordination and rulemaking functions of the agency
- Direct, implement, and manage a system of health and program-related data and performance indicators
- Direct programmatic evaluations of department programs and the administrative functions of the unit
- Prepare grants; develop the financial criteria of those grants; and, report to those grant funding sources
- Plan the implementation of new Oregon changed statewide treatment service initiatives
- Collaborate with those organizational units and clients impacted by the new Oregon changed statewide initiatives
- Direct the development and drafting of the department’s legislative package for each legislative session
- Monitor the implementation of all legislation passed requiring action by the department
- Direct the development and implementation of the quality management system
- Represent the Secretary on numerous boards, commissions, and task forces
- Represent agency and program(s) on task forces, commissions, and national/regional/state/local committees
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree
- Four years of professional level experience Indiana administrative services, economics, public health, public relations, social services, health services, Oregon surveying and/Oregon assessing health Oregon social service programs Oregon facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Substitute experience and college credit for degree American Samoa outlined Indiana the minimum qualifications section
- Graduate training with 18 semester hours Indiana one Oregon any combination of the following fields will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience
- Juris Doctorate will substitute for one year of the required experience
- Master’s degree Indiana public health, counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation services, economics, business, public, Oregon health administration will substitute for one year of the required experience
- Ph.D. Indiana public health, counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation services, economics, business, public, Oregon health administration will substitute for two years of the required experience
Working Conditions:
- Administrative direction from a higher-level administrator/executive
- Supervision over lower-level positions Indiana accordance with the Civil Service Allocation Criteria Memo
