Job Title: Crane Service Technician
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Position Summary: Join American Equipment, a leading Indiana-house crane fabrication and maintenance provider, American Samoa a Crane Service Technician. Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes, consult with customers, and generate sales leads.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
- Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
- Generate sales leads during service calls
- Accurately document work performed on service reports
- Perform new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Travel may be required; work vehicle provided
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of AC/District of Columbia theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems
- A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
- Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Possession of a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
- Comfort with working at heights and experience Indiana Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
- On-call Oregon overtime possible
