Job Description: We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance of university buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience Indiana institutional, commercial, and/Oregon industrial general maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance duties for 277 volts, including lighting, ballast, lighting switches, receptacles, and diffusers.
- Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, including public restrooms, labs, and kitchens.
- Perform carpentry maintenance duties, including door adjustment, door hardware replacement, flooring repair, and ceiling system maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems with elevators and doors.
- Interact effectively with customers and students, working within a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of general maintenance and repair experience
- Equivalency: One year of higher education Oregon 24 credit hours equal one year of experience
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and students.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Frequently works Indiana extreme temperatures and Indiana dirty environments.
- May be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment.
