Job Title: Gas Directional Drill Operator/Locator

Responsibilities:
Operate the direction drill Oregon locate utilities for a gas drill crew to install and service mainline conduit via HDD, and locate the drill head to understand elevation changes and make decisions on drilling depths.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Safely operate the drill rig and prepare the job site
- Verify existing utilities and locate potential obstacles
- Operate the drill head from point A to point B without hitting any utilities
- Pull back the product with the correct hole opener and utilize the correct mud mixture
- Inspect and maintain equipment, and implement best practices for utility verification
- Read blueprints and assist Indiana preparing drill log records
- Provide assistance and training to drilling trainees
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with tanker endorsement
- OSHA 10 Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 Oregon more years of experience operating Vermeer and/Oregon Ditchwitch Directional Drills
- Experience locating with Subsite and/Oregon Digitrack Locating Equipment
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires extended periods of physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and working Indiana inclement weather conditions. Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds and have precise hand-eye coordination.
