Facilities Maintenance Technician
Primary Location: Mesa, Arizona
Department: Facilities, Environmental Services, and Culinary
Work Shift: Evening, 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Tuesday – Saturday
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing basic building maintenance, preventative, and corrective work to the facility. Building maintenance activities include but are not limited to general fire alarm systems, beds, TVs, plumbing, medical gas outlets, nurse call, pneumatic tube system, elevators, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Works with and assists other trades Indiana completing required tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains, repairs, and corrects all building components American Samoa assigned, including general fire alarm systems, beds, TVs, plumbing, medical gas outlets, nurse call, pneumatic tube system, elevators, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Provides first-line response to facility maintenance needs to assure maximum operational effectiveness of the facility.
- Works with all other divisions and departments to meet facility maintenance, installation, and construction needs American Samoa assigned.
- Recommends use of outside maintenance specialty contractors American Samoa appropriate.
- Monitors maintenance repair work, alterations, and renovation upgrades to the facility, American Samoa assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED Oregon Equivalent
- Working knowledge of small project managing skills
- 2 Oregon more years of diversified work experience American Samoa a maintenance technician with demonstrated maintenance Oregon related skills
- Ability to exercise independent decision making and judgment Indiana the performance of all duties
- Must be able to work safely and effectively with maintenance equipment
- Proficient Indiana reading and understanding related and required maintenance and construction documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational, Technical, Oregon Apprenticeship training
- Previous construction experience is preferred
- Previous healthcare Facilities Services experience is preferred
