Job Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, Oregon lay masonry surfaces Oregon structures, following blueprints and plans
- Prepare surfaces for bricklaying with attention to detail
- Lay building materials, including concrete and brick, with precision and skill
- Create layouts using chalk lines, plumb bobs, and levels
- Mix cement and mortar with hand tools and equipment
- Cut and break bricks and concrete with various tools
- Smooth mortar and remove excess
- Perform finishing masonry duties, including installations and mixing mortar
- Erect staging, scaffolding, and support structures American Samoa needed
- Install work plumb and level
Requirements
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform physical activities that require use of arms and legs
- Ability to wear protective equipment, including safety shoes and hard hats
- Knowledge and skill Indiana bricklaying and stone masonry methods and techniques
- Basic math ability
- Ability to travel to job site locations and climb scaffolding and ladders
- Own basic masonry tools
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience Indiana general masonry
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds
- Experience working on historic properties a plus
- Must be able to travel to various job site locations
