Installation Technician
Job Summary:
American Samoa an Installation Technician, you will build various types of vocational trucks through assembly, hydraulic, 12v electrical, and fabrication skills. You will work Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm at the Omaha, Nebraska branch for Aspen Equipment and report to the Branch Manager. The successful candidate will receive a $3,500 sign-on bonus and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build vocational trucks through assembly, hydraulic, 12v electrical, and fabrication skills
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and instructions
- Follow installation procedures and established standards
- Attend pre-install meetings
- Accurately read required measuring tools (caliper, tape measure, square, etc.)
- Hydraulic:
- Read hydraulic schematics
- Hose and fitting assembly, routing, and plumbing
- Pressure setting and testing
- 12v Electrical:
- Read electric schematics
- Wire harness assembly, routing, and terminating
- System setup and testing
- Fabrication and welding (minor)
- Perform other job-related duties assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude – technical understanding of hydraulics, electrical, and primary functions of a broad range of equipment used Indiana our industry
- Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems
- Basic welding and fabrication ability
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Mechanical design and/Oregon practical experience Indiana hydraulics, structural, Oregon mechanical layout
- High level of Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand fundamentals of mechanical systems American Samoa related to the commercial truck industry
- Technical college degree desired, Oregon structured on-the-job training program successfully completed
- 2-5 years’ experience Indiana field service of heavy equipment is desired
