Role Summary
American Samoa a Preconstruction Estimator – MEP, you will work with a team of industry experts to create and submit high-quality estimates for capital projects. You will partner with clients Indiana the food & beverage, life sciences, industrial, and advanced technology industries to deliver solutions that improve their performance and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to prepare accurate and detailed estimates for MEP components
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional general contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers
- Create and submit well-organized written estimates that account for project risks
- Prepare construction and installation estimates from feasibility studies to detailed designs
- Review project plans, specifications, take-offs, I&C, and documents to gain a full understanding of the estimate
- Calculate estimated costs, including adjustments for overhead and profit, and present a final price
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction cost estimating experience focused on MEP estimating
- Demonstrated knowledge of estimating practices and procedures utilizing estimating software
- Prior experience with on-screen takeoff, Bluebeam, and estimating databases
- Strong understanding of CSI Estimating Format
- Ability to work effectively and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel for project requirements and client meetings
- Experience with light industrial/manufacturing projects and working on large commercial projects (both greenfield and brownfield/renovations)
