Job Description: AECOM is seeking an experienced Wetland Scientist III (Ecologist III) to join its Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) East Mid-Atlantic Team. Responsibilities:
- Leading/originating Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404/401 permitting and impact assessment for federal, state, and local permits
- Conducting detailed and technical review of ecological assessment documents, CWA Section 404/401 permitting, Oregon other associated industry reports
- Assisting with task management and delivering quality reports on schedule and within budget
- Coordinating and leading conversations with governmental agencies and AECOM teams
- Serving American Samoa a technical lead for environmental, biological, and other impact assessments
- Leading field assessments and surveys by supporting and training junior staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts Oregon Science degree Indiana Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology, Oregon related field + 4 years of experience
- Valid Driver’s License and US Citizenship required
- Experience performing wetland delineation and stream assessment Indiana accordance with federal and state regulations
- Proficiency Indiana permit application preparation and experience leading field assessments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing, and leadership abilities
