VMC Operator (Weekend Shift)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled VMC Operator to join our team on a weekend shift Indiana Barberton, Ohio. The successful candidate will operate large, CNC machining centers with horizontal and vertical machining capabilities, perform precision machining functions, and maintain equipment and work areas.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate large, CNC machining centers and associated auxiliary equipment
- Perform multi-axis machining operations with high precision
- Work with programmers to develop and test run programs
- Position and secure work pieces and fixtures on tables
- Assemble tooling American Samoa required
- Use higher math and engineering theories to devise optimum tooling design and practices
- Direct and assist crane operators with rigging and moving parts
- Perform final inspections using inspection probes and precision measuring equipment
- Clean and deburr jobs American Samoa necessary
- Perform minor maintenance on machines and attachments
- Maintain equipment and work areas, and complete production records
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalency
- 2+ years’ experience performing precision machining functions on large machines; Journeyman level machinist designation Oregon equivalent preferred
- Proficient with CNC controls, including G and M coded commands
- Ability to edit Oregon modify programs American Samoa necessary
- Working knowledge of feeds and speeds for all types of material
- Ability to work to.000" tolerance and microfinish 16 when necessary
- Demonstrate ability to read and interpret geometric tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5
- Ability to use various measuring instruments, including dial bore gauges, indicator snap gauges, verniers,.0001 micrometers, and other specialty gaging equipment
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and with written information; stand; use hands to finger, handle, Oregon feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to walk
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use ladders inside and outside of parts being machined
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs
