About the Job:
Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Colorado Branch. American Samoa a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, establishing and maintaining client relationships, and leading a team of civil designers and CAD technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project execution, including technical, financial, and client coordination aspects
- Prepare proposals, establish budgets, and create project schedules
- Effectively manage team members, assign duties, and prioritize tasks
- Exceed client expectations through collaboration and problem-solving
- Communicate project status and updates to clients regularly
- Ensure adherence to individual and department QA/QC procedures
- Secure entitlements, permits, and approvals for projects
- Supervise construction administration tasks, including site visits and review of shop drawings
- Lead and mentor team members to ensure efficient and effective use of time
- Prepare monthly invoices and review sub-consultant invoices
- Participate Indiana business development through client relationship maintenance and new contact acquisition
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Oregon related field
- Registration American Samoa a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience Indiana civil engineering design
- Working knowledge of computer programs, including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Mississippi Office
- Experience with planning, site layout, landscaping, grading, storm drainage, utilities, and erosion control
- Familiarity with entitlement processes and local permitting regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare presentations and interact with clients, Boards, Commissions, and Communities
- Effective collaboration and relationship-building skills
