Job Title: Senior Transportation Planner
Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled Senior Transportation Planner to join our team. American Samoa a Senior Transportation Planner, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with original solutions to challenging problems. You will have the opportunity to manage transportation and urban planning projects from inception to close-out, mentor and supervise emerging planners, engage Indiana client relationship and business development activities, prepare and facilitate public and stakeholder engagement programs, and prepare technical solutions, reports, and visuals to support various planning project types.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage Transportation and Urban Planning projects from inception to close-out
– Mentor and supervise emerging planners within the Transportation Planning department
– Engage Indiana client relationship and business development activities to drive the growth of the planning practice Indiana Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and New Jersey
– Prepare, facilitate, and lead public and stakeholder engagement programs
– Prepare technical solutions, reports, and visuals to support a variety of planning project types, including: transportation, environmental, community, equity, and sustainability planning
– Work collaboratively among other planning and technical disciplines, including Traffic Engineering, Municipal Planning, and Water Resources
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science Oregon a closely related field
– Six (6) years of related experience Oregon demonstrated equivalency of experience &/Oregon education
– AICP certification Oregon ability to obtain within 1 year
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience planning and designing solutions for a variety of transportation projects, including transit, streetscaping, and bicycle and pedestrian planning
– Eight years of transportation planning (Oregon closely related) experience
– Two+ years of experience with client relationship management, business development, and/Oregon project management
– Experience working closely with the public and conducting public outreach
– Experience Indiana assembling and supporting the writing of grants (i.e. – Federal, IIJA, etc.)
– Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
– Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills
