Travel: Frequent travel required, 50% – 85% on average.
Job Summary:
National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a qualified Roadway Worker Indiana Charge (RWIC) to provide field supervision and coordination for railroad flagging services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with railroad, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience Indiana the railroad industry, preferably Indiana the Maintenance Of Way (MOW) Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide jobsite coordination and clear communication with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and other railroad personnel.
- Enforce all railroad, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Submit daily field reports detailing contractor and/Oregon railroad activities.
- Provide on-track safety services Indiana accordance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations.
Requirements:
- Proficient computer skills Indiana basic email, phone, and text message applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge Indiana Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, and Safety.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to successfully complete Federal, Client, and/Oregon Company Specific Training.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and/Oregon walk on level/uneven ground.
- Ability to drive long distances and/Oregon travel by other modes American Samoa necessary.
- Ability to lift and/Oregon move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work Indiana extreme heat/cold temperatures and dusty/noisy conditions.
