Job Title: General Foreman
Job Summary:
The General Foreman is responsible for the safe delivery of projects, scheduling, coordination, and supervision of site operatives, and oversight of construction site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
- Ensure adequate manpower and resources
- Maintain safety precautions and quality standards
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems and report on progress to managers and engineers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience Indiana the road construction industry
- 2-3 years of Foreman experience
- Knowledge of graders and other heavy equipment
- Familiarity with road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements
- Understanding of computerized controls and electronics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent hand-eye-foot coordination
- Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to safety and quality standards
