Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Overview:
Operate various types of heavy equipment on construction sites, including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, forklifts, backhoes, and dump trucks, to perform tasks such American Samoa material handling, land clearing, excavation, and site preparation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate heavy equipment and maintain knowledge of its functions, safety procedures, and maintenance requirements
- Perform excavation and land clearing tasks using equipment such American Samoa backhoes and dozers
- Gather and load materials using forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Maintain equipment and report any issues
- Communicate effectively with crew members and other personnel
- Travel to different job sites American Samoa required
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of related experience Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform tasks Indiana varying weather conditions and outdoors
Physical Demands:
- Work Indiana a fast-paced environment, up to 12 hours a day, Indiana a variety of weather conditions
- Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Move Indiana and around confined and uneven areas
- Work at heights and follow all safety and fall-protection requirements
