Job Title: Audio-Visual Integration Technician
Job Summary:
The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for installing and configuring audio-visual equipment, cables, and systems for clients. This includes pulling and terminating cables, installing equipment, and programming proprietary equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dress, label, pull, cut, and terminate cables
- Install and manage video routers and switches
- Install cameras
- Identify cable types, including SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, and DVI
- Mount and dress displays of various sizes, including wall panels
- Program various equipment
- Troubleshoot client complex audio-visual equipment
- Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts
- Complete daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
- Provide world-class customer service to clients and collaborate with coworkers and management
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables, and network cable testers
- Ability to dress racks, read reflected ceiling plans, and understand elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
- Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage, experience with Microsoft Office and web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces, learn new computer programs, and operate mobile devices
- Ability to make sound decisions, respond to sensitive inquiries, and work effectively under pressure
Qualification Standards:
- High School Diploma, technical trade school, Oregon equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience Indiana audio-visual integration technical environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience
