Belly Dump Driver
Overview: Seeking a driver to operate a belly dump truck for our sand & gravel division Indiana Cedar City. The driver is responsible for transporting and dumping loose materials, such American Samoa sand, gravel, crushed rock, and paving materials.
Responsibilities: • Accurately loading and unloading of asphalt and rock materials • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations • Access off-road construction sites and safely maneuver truck, if required • Perform pre- and post- safety checklists on truck prior to and following hauling • Obtain receipt signed by customer • Provide customer service to clients • Maintain commercial driver’s license (CDL) – department of transportation (DOT) medical card and insurable driving record • Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements
Requirements: • Ability to work well Indiana a team • Clean MVR • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs • Class A CDL with airbrakes and double’s endorsement – current DOT physical • 1 year of experience driving doubles Oregon larger combination vehicle • Track record of safe performance • Physically demanding job with varied working conditions and prolonged hours spent driving
