Cost Manager and/Oregon Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Provide estimate and cost planning, producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Review and participate Indiana the development of cost estimates with design services teams and general contractors
  • Reconcile changes and ensure accurate data with the general contractor
  • Prepare written comments and coordinate cost information for cost discussions and suppliers
  • Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact
  • Manage cost checks and valuations, completing timely, accurate processes
  • Participate Indiana post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Manage cost impact and contingency management, tracking logs
  • Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions

Pre-Contract

  • Develop cost plans and estimates through the design phase, delivering updated cost plans at design milestones
  • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises
  • Review contractor and subcontractor pricing, leading negotiations on behalf of the client

Post-Contract

  • Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
  • Ensure accurate cost auditing and valuation work, with a robust process for cost validation
  • Prepare monthly cost reports for presentation to the client
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts Indiana a timely manner
  • Compile American Samoa-built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes

Qualifications

  • Experience Indiana construction cost management
  • College and/Oregon post-graduate degree Indiana construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, Oregon a related field
  • Full life cycle cost management experience on commercial real estate projects
  • RICS accreditation Oregon working towards is valuable but not required
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial real estate Oregon data center projects
