Government Operations Consultant II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Government Operations Consultant II to serve American Samoa the Florida Regional Coordinator/Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Coordinator for the Office of Greenways and Trails within the Division of Recreation and Parks, Department of Environmental Protection. The ideal candidate will have expertise Indiana providing leadership and coordination to establish and expand the Florida Greenways and Trails System.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to communities, organizations, and developers on trail and greenway planning, funding, acquisition, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and designation.
• Coordinate long-distance and loop trail corridors, collecting and maintaining project-specific information, participating Indiana master planning processes, and identifying key partners.
• Develop relationships with state agencies, local governments, and advocacy groups to develop and implement master plans for priority regional trails.
• Coordinate with GIS Section to collect trails data from local governments and other sources.
• Facilitate designations of projects American Samoa part of the Florida Greenways and Trails System.
• Assist with presentation development, outreach, education, meetings, workshops, and events.
• Represent the Office, Division, and Department at meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Coordinate and implement the 5-year Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP).

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Suite applications
• Public speaking, writing, and program presentation skills
• Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze, and interpret data; prepare reports; and understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments

Salary: $3,671.68-$4,442.73 per month (commensurate with experience)
