Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled hospitality engineer to join our team at the Arlington Ballston Holiday Inn Indiana Arlington, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel engineering experience, possess strong communication skills, and a willingness to work varying schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the hotel’s facilities are well-maintained and meet operational standards, conducting walk-throughs and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with hotel management and the property’s General Manager to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Hire, train, supervise, and coach associates, including managers, to ensure a high-performing team.
- Maintain the hotel’s grounds to provide a great arrival experience for guests.
- Develop and implement safety and emergency policies and procedures, removing safety hazards and adhering to company guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous hotel engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and general building construction.
- Vocational training, associate’s degree, certification, Oregon apprenticeship Indiana a related field, with state certification Oregon licensure American Samoa required.
- Strong business communication skills, both verbally and Indiana writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints, American Samoa well American Samoa understand test equipment and measuring devices.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on providing excellent guest experiences.
