Diesel Technician Job Description:
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Diesel Technician for a well-respected construction equipment sales and service company. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of earthmoving equipment and excellent diagnostic and repair skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on earthmoving equipment
- Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Deliver quality repairs Indiana a timely fashion
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Complete all reports and forms required for work assignments
- Account for all time and material used Indiana performing assigned duties
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience performing service repairs on earthmoving equipment
- Experience with DPF systems
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Basic Service Technician certification preferred
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent experience required; associate’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Forklift license preferred
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: $30 – $45 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
