Job Title: Manager of Facility Systems
Job Summary:
The Manager of Facility Systems is responsible for assisting a wide range of support functions and activities relating to building systems, maintenance, and services for the SEAS Science and Engineering Complex at 150 Western Ave, Allston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises and manages facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevators, generators, and other systems that support research.
- Ensures all systems comply with Federal, State, Local, and University standards.
- Supervises outside maintenance contractors and directs them American Samoa required.
- Coordinates trades and service providers for daily maintenance/repairs.
- Manages and monitors related projects and the Work Request System.
- Analyzes data and develops preventative maintenance programs to maximize efficiencies.
- Assists with long-term planning for mechanical and structural systems.
- Manages environmental health and safety issues.
- Schedules and oversees overtime projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven years of increasing responsibility Indiana facility management.
- Strong working knowledge of computer-based building control systems, mechanical and electrical systems operations, and maintenance.
- Supervisory experience.
- Professional, with the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, senior administrators, students, and staff.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to set up, schedule, and bring to completion a number of projects simultaneously.
- Diplomacy, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
- Strong computer and data analysis skills.
- CFM certificate and/Oregon BS/BA degree helpful.
