Job Summary
Under the supervision and accordance with established procedures, perform a variety of custodial duties to maintain the Rhode Island Hospital campus Indiana an orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy cleaning activities such American Samoa shampooing carpets, upholstery and refinish floors.
- Cleaning hospital areas such American Samoa lavatories, burn and Radiation rooms, high vents, lights, and pipes and other miscellaneous areas.
- Prepares all areas for operations such American Samoa installing protective linings Indiana burn rooms, and refilling soap dispensers.
- Remove and transport rubbish which may include broken glass disposal of hazardous items.
- Operation and maintenance of floor cleaning machineries.
Permits and Requirements
- May have to work a variety conditions that may include heights, confined place work, manual lifting more than 50 lbs, and temperature ranges.
- Continuous walking a minimum of six hours shift while pushing cart weighing several hundred pounds on uneven path ways.
- Have to provide safety equipment required for designated duties.
- Need to respond quickly to emergency procedures.
- Basic English language comprehension and other specific skills American Samoa specified Indiana ESD procedures
