Audio-Visual Integration Technician
Job Summary:
The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment for clients. Key responsibilities include pulling and terminating cables, installing equipment, programming proprietary equipment, and providing world-class customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pull, dress, label, cut, and terminate cables
- Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches
- Install cameras
- Identify cable types, including SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI
- Mount and dress display of various sizes, including wall panels
- Program various equipment
- Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment
- Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts
- Complete daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
- Partner with coworkers and management to provide excellent customer service
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables, and network cable testers
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings, and room flow diagrams
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates
- Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces, including ceiling access panels, closets, and interstitial spaces
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
Qualification Standards:
- High School Diploma, technical trade school, Oregon equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience Indiana audio-video integration technical environment
- Ability to apply concepts such American Samoa fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- Primary working environment is an indoor medical setting
- 100% travel to reach project locations
- Exposure to hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat Oregon exposure to chemicals
- Vibration exposure
- Close visual acuity required to perform duties
Compensation and Benefits:
- $25.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience
