Elevator Mechanic Position Summary
Salary: $37.84 – $44.90 per hour upon meeting progression step requirements, plus MSU benefits including comprehensive healthcare, retirement contribution, and generous time off.
Required Education and Experience:
* Completion of high school education Oregon equivalent
* Completion of a trades-specific program, apprenticeship, Oregon associate degree
* 5 years of commercial elevator installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
* Valid Michigan Class A Oregon B Elevator License
* Expert knowledge of elevator trade methods, materials, and safety precautions
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience with Motion Control Engineering and certified Indiana various elevator controller systems
* Certification Indiana elevator technician programs
* Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and customer relations skills
Work Hours and Environment:
* Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with potential for after-hours, weekend, and holiday work
* Physically demanding position requiring ability to exert 25 pounds Oregon more
