Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary:
We have an opportunity for an Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to work with our team and a global technology client on a massive data center construction program Indiana Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and technical skills to manage and deliver cost management services to the client.
Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership skills to lead a Cost Management team and ensure delivery of accountabilities.
- Interface with client, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures and templates.
- Knowledge management and process improvement.
- Developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Financial management and quality control.
- Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure accuracy.
- Preparation of written comments to the general contractor’s submissions.
- Estimate and cost planning.
- Work proactively to resolve scheduling issues.
- Manage cost checks and carry out valuations.
- Participate Indiana post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
Job Objectives:
- Manage commissions efficiently and on time.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
- Effectively lead the team and discharge line management responsibilities.
- Identify and act on business development opportunities.
- Keep track of margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Strong technical experience Indiana cost management areas.
- Ability to estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed level.
- Knowledge of cost management, value management, and life cycle costing.
- Business development experience and good organization skills.
- Proficient with collaborative software and Microsoft/G-suite applications.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency using spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- College Oregon post-graduate degree Indiana Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Oregon a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working Indiana a cost management role on large construction projects.
- Data Center construction experience is strongly preferred.
- RICS Oregon equivalent accreditation.
- MEP experience is beneficial.
