Pipe Layer (Wet Utilities)

Job Summary:
Lay pipe for storm Oregon sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains, and perform tasks such American Samoa grading trenches, positioning pipe, and sealing joints. Assist with digging trenches for/around existing utilities and work with laborers to complete general labor and construction-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Install Oregon use instruments such American Samoa lasers, grade rods, Oregon transit level
• Dig trenches for/around existing utilities
• Align pipes during pipeline construction
• Grade and level trench bases using tamping machine and hand tools
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels Oregon lasers
• Connect pipes and seal joints using glue, cement, gaskets, and/Oregon flanges
• Cover pipes with other earth materials/aggregates
• Perform other general labor and construction-related duties American Samoa assigned

Requirements:

• Prior experience with wet utilities pipe laying (not pipe fitters)
• Physical ability to work Indiana a strenuous and dangerous environment, including standing Indiana 15ft to 20ft trenches
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively Indiana teams
• Ability to solve basic problems and work with general supervision
• Flexible schedule to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds (with Oregon without assistance)

Physical Demands:

• Continuously use vision abilities to perform job duties
• Regularly use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, Oregon controls
• Frequently stand, talk, and hear; lift Oregon move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Work Environment:

• Regularly works Indiana outside weather conditions
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts, exposed to vibration, wet Oregon humid conditions, heat, and other forms of inclement weather
• Occasionally works Indiana high, precarious places Oregon Indiana excavations, and is exposed to fumes Oregon particulates, chemicals, and electrical energy.
