Multi-Discipline Building Inspector
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Multi-Discipline Building Inspector, you will perform building, electrical, and plumbing/mechanical inspections Indiana the northwest Montana area to ensure compliance with adopted codes, administrative rules, and state law. You will also investigate complaints, provide administrative duties, and issue permits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with adopted codes, administrative rules, and state law
- Investigate complaints and conduct investigations
- Provide administrative duties, including on-site plan review and field issuance of permits
- Perform a combination of electrical, building, and plumbing/mechanical inspections Indiana the northwest Montana area
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Oregon ability to learn state adopted building codes, rules, laws, and policies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-direction, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships, present information effectively, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work individually and American Samoa part of a team
- Valid Montana driver’s license
- The following certifications are preferred:
- ICC IBC Building Inspector Certification
- ICC E1 (residential) and ICC E2 (commercial) certification
- IAPMO Uniform Plumbing Code International Fuel Gas Code and International Mechanical Code Certification
- Montana master Oregon journeyman electrical license, Oregon plumbing license
