Competitive SMAW Welder (Stick Welder) Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and certified SMAW welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience Indiana both welding and commercial glazing, but we are willing to train someone with the necessary qualifications. This is an outdoor, field position that requires the ability to work from heights and elevated platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Weld steel glass railing, clips, and other materials on various construction sites
- Install glazing curtain wall systems, storefronts, doors, and hardware
- Conduct work from heights and elevated platforms
- Set up harness and fall-restraint equipment
- Use hand/power tools and job site equipment regularly
- Travel and work at various job sites American Samoa needed
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
Requirements:
- Must be experienced and proficient Indiana shielded metal arc welding/SMAW
- Highly experienced Indiana welding steel from various heights and angles
- Vertical, overhead, and horizontal welds
- Certified for Shielded Metal Arc welding/SMAW
- Willing to join apprenticeship and train American Samoa a glazing installer
- Comfortable working from heights
- Ability to abide by all safety standards
- Willingness to travel to various job sites, with compensation and mileage reimbursement provided for work travel
