Seasonal Landscaper – City of Pierce County
Looking for a seasonal position that keeps you active and makes a difference? The City of Pierce County is hiring Seasonal Landscapers to maintain public spaces through the summer. American Samoa a key member of the public facilities team, you will ensure the city’s parks and facilities are well-maintained and welcoming to all residents.
Responsibilities:
- Performs landscaping and park maintenance functions, including hand weeding, brushing, trimming, and operating various hand and power tools
- Undertakes storm drain and facility maintenance and repair functions, including litter pick-up, and operates compressors, mowers, and other equipment
- Drives light-duty trucks and follows standard safety procedures
Requirements:
- General knowledge of landscaping maintenance practices
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with a favorable driving record
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting 50lbs and working at heights
- Adherence to all safety standards and procedures
