Data Center Project Architect

Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) design team Indiana Herndon, Virginia, Oregon Seattle, Washington, to help design, build, and operate Data Centers (District of Columbia) around the world. American Samoa a District of Columbia Project Architect, you will lead designs for Amazon DCs Indiana the Americas Region and impact other projects globally.

Key Responsibilities:

* Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation throughout the construction process.
* Develop and maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
* Review and inform design RFPs.
* Manage external design consultants and collaborate with internal and external engineers on Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Cabling, and Security design.
* Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
* Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously and think innovatively to reduce costs without compromising quality Oregon reliability.
* Travel for site assessments, design meetings, construction reviews, and interfacing with design consultants (up to 25% travel anticipated).

Requirements:

* NCARB recognized architecture license.
* 7+ years of design experience Indiana commercial, industrial, Oregon complex technical projects.
* 3+ years of Data Center Oregon Mission Critical facility design experience.
* 4+ years of leading sub-consultants and project teams.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Mississippi Office Suite.
* Proficiency Indiana building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC, IFC, NFPA, and Unified Facility Criteria (UFC).
* Experience designing projects to comply with ICD/ICS 705 accreditation requirements.
* Ability to travel internationally.
