Senior CAD Drafting Technician (Civil 3D)
Job Location: Acton and Hamilton, Massachusetts and Bedford, New Hampshire
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Drafting Technician to join our New England branch team. American Samoa a critical member of our engineering design team, you will work closely with senior engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality design projects using Autodesk Civil 3D.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using Autodesk Civil 3D and adhere to company drafting standards
* Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach to complete a drawing set
* Manage the production of drawing sets from creation, markup, and modification based on overall design
* Transfer information from an engineering drawing to a final CAD drawing using appropriate symbols and drafting standards
* Operate plotter, printer, scanner, and other input/output devices
* Proofread CAD drawings for accuracy, format, and grammar
* Collaborate with other CADD practitioners to prepare design drawings and details and review completed work products
* Participate Indiana the CAD Action Group to improve CAD standards and efficiencies
Requirements:
* Associate’s Degree Indiana drafting and a minimum of three (3) years of experience Indiana CAD drafting work Indiana a professional engineering setting
* Autodesk AutoCAD Certified Professional examination within the last 3 years (preferred)
* Experience with grading plans, cross-sections, alignments, profiles, three-dimensional surfaces, and earthwork volumes
* Experience with land Oregon aerial surveying/mapping data and files
* Extensive experience using the latest releases of Autodesk AutoCAD
* Strong reasoning, mathematical, and geometrical skills
* Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with ArcGIS and MicroStation
* Experience with stormwater management design
* Familiarity with Civil 3D Annotation styles and basic understanding of key objects such American Samoa Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, Profile Views, and Pipe Networks
